INTRODUCTION

Congratulations! You are a user of the TPMS EZ-Pad. This awesome device is brought to you enabling an easy way to diagnosis and program EZ-Sensors.
As you can see, your TPMS EZ-Pad has no screen. How you suppose to control it?
You will control your device using a Desktop application, installed in your computer, or using a smartphone, through the TPMS EuroShop application. The smartphone must run Android and have Bluetooth capability.

  • Internet Connection: Your TPMS EZ-Pad will controlled using the internet. This guarantee that you will have the most up to date information and features. The power of the worldwide network helping your work.
  • Intended Use: The TPMS EZ-Pad is intended to be a diagnosis tool for all TPMS OE sensors and for the EZ-Sensor, as well as a programming tool for the EZ-Sensor. It can be used as a pad at the top of your desk or on your hand, as an extension of your mobile smartphone.
    The intended use of this device is described by this manual. Any operation not included in this manual can damage the tool or lead to accidents. Such uses will also void the user’s guarantee and warranty claims.
  • For Your Safety: Read this operating manual before using the device for the first time and act accordingly. Refer to this manual in case of doubts.

  • Registration: In order to effectively use the TPMS EZ-Pad the user must be registered at the TPMS EuroShop.
    Please, go to www.tpmseuroshop.com and complete your registration. If you are already a user, just use your login credentials to start using it.

KNOWING YOUR TOOL

On this section will help you identify the different features of your TPMS EZ-Pad. The picture below reflect the top part of the Pad.

The TPMS EZ-Pad has two buttons, two LEDs and two activation spots. The explanation of each of those are in the following chapters:
  • Buttons:
    • Power Button: The main function of the Power Button is to control whether your TPMS EZ-Pad is ON or OFF. When ON, pressing and holding this button for more than 2 seconds, cause the device to go OFF.
      When OFF, pressing it will power-up your device.

    • Trigger Button: The Trigger Button is used to repeat the last operation (if it was a Sensor Diagnosis) using the same parameters defined with the application. If the user selected the correct MMY and performed one Diagnosis, it can repeat this process by pressing this button.

  • Attention, the button perform Diagnosis only, not Programming.
  • Leds: There are two LEDs in your programming tool. Each one will display specific information, as below:

    Power LED The Power LED indicates primarily if the tool is ON.

    The states of this LED are explained below:

    • Solid Red – Charging

    • Solid Green – Charged (Battery Full)

    • Flashing Red – Battery almost depleted.

    • Flashing Green – Battery OK.


    Status LED The Status LED indicates whether the Diagnosis or Programming are in process, failed or succeeded. It also shows the Bluetooth connection status.

    • Solid Red – Diagnosis or Programming Error

    • Solid Green – Diagnosis or Programming OK

    • Flashing Green – Diagnosis or Programming under Progress

  • RF Positioning: Your TPMS EZ-Pad is meant to be used on your desk. Sitting on the table, you can put the sensor on top of it, right on the mark below:

    Proceed with the diagnosis/programming now. See the picture below for a better illustration:

    You can also put the sensor right in front of the TPMS EZ-Pad and activate the sensors in front of it.
    At this way, align the valve on the wheel with the RF mark shown below. This is the way the RF field will be emitted by the TPMS EZ-Pad, therefore, the sensor and the valve must be in this direction.

HOW TO?

On this section, a list of "How to" will guide you through the main questions you may have, before using your new TPMS EZ-Pad.

  • Download the App: If you intend to use your TPMS EZ-Pad with a desktop computer, please, access www.tpmseuroshop.com and download the Desktop Application. You will need internet connection also to run the software.
    If you intend to use your TPMS EZ-Pad with a smartphone, please, access the Google Play Store® and download the TPMS EuroShop app.
  • Charge your Device: To charge your device just plug it to a USB port in any computer. The LEDs will indicate the charging status. Please, refer to section 2.2 to see how to understand the LED states.
    The battery inside the tool is not replaceable.
  • Program and Diagnose Sensors: To control your TPMS EZ-Pad you will need an external application, such as a computer or a smartphone. See the "Download the App" section. If you already downloaded this application, check if the sensor is in the right spot. Please, check the "RF Positioning" section.
    After that, follow the instructions under the Application Manual to perform the operation. You will have to select the correct Vehicle Model and Year of Manufacturing to be able to correctly program and diagnose the sensors.

TOOL OVERVIEW

  • Electrical Characteristics: You should receive your TPMS EZ-Pad charged. After using it, to charge your device, just plug it to the computer, using the USB cable provided together with the tool.
    Please, refer to the LED section, where the explanation on how to identify if the device battery is low, full or being charged.

    We do not recommend the usage with the tool with any other cable different from the supplied.

    The device can be used while being charged.

    We also do not recommend using any other USB charger, different from the standard computer port. supplied.

  • Mechanical Characteristics: Please, check the mechanical characteristics in the table below:

  • USB Interface: Your TPMS EZ-Pad come with a USB connector that can be used for charging or controlling the tool. Most computers have a USB interface.
    The USB interface follow an international standard and complain with the USB 1.1 specification.
    To check if your computer is compatible with this device, please, refer to its own manual.
    The USB connector is intended to be used only on computers. This shall not be connected to smartphones, tablets, etc. To control your device using one of these devices, please, go to the Bluetooth section.
  • Bluetooth: Additionally to the USB connector, you can control your TPMS EZ-Pad using Bluetooth connection. With this, you can control your tool using a smartphone or tabled, using Android devices only.
    The Bluetooth interface follow the international standard. The device operates at Bluetooth Class 1.5 and it was approved by the competent agencies. The PIN used to pair your device with the TPMS EZ-Pad is "0000".

NOTES ON ENVIRONMENT

In accordance with European Directive 2002/96/EC, electric tools, which can no longer be used, must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
In accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC, defective or old batteries must be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

WARRANTY

The TPMS EZ-Pad must be handled with care. It was designed for use in a workshop, but it is an electronic device and must be handled like one.
The warranty is offered in accordance with the national regulation from the date of purchase (invoice or delivery date). The TPMS EuroShop will keep track of the activation date and keeps the right to analyse the returned part, since improper handling will not be covered by this warranty.
